Funeral services for George L. Farmer, Jr., 89, Quitman are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 25, 2015, Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, Quitman with Brother Rick Childers officiating. Burial will follow in Myrtle Springs cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening, Feb. 24th at Lowe Funeral Home.

George was born June 14, 1925 in El Centro, CA. to the late Viola Pearl and George Lawler Farmer, Sr. and passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 in Quitman, Tx. He was retired Union Labor Union 89 CA. and retired from the city of Quitman. He is preceded in death by a son George L. Farmer III.

He is survived by his wife Joann Farmer, Quitman; 2 sons, Steven and wife Wendy Farmer, Brush Prairie, WA., Fred and wife Jennifer Farmer, Van Couver, WA; 2 daughters, Nancy Lynn and husband Rex Leath, Paris, TX, Joannie and Cain McAllister, Quitman, TX; 3 brothers, Laurance Farmer, TN, David Farmer, CA; and Steve Farmer, TN; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; nummerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
