Elizabeth Nell Box

Elizabeth Nell Box, age 86 of Quitman, Texas, passed away on December 7, 2020 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Visitation for Nell will be on Wednesday December 9, 2020 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at  Lowe Funeral Home in Quitman.  Funeral Services will be on Thursday December 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Faith Baptist Church of Quitman with Bro. Fred Morrow and Rev. Mike Midkiff officiating. Interment will follow at Myrtle Springs cemetery with members of The Quitman Volunteer Fire Department including Wesley Price, Scott Wheeler, Mike Wheeler, Colton Otto, Cody Burge and Will Leake serving as Pallbearers.

Elizabeth Nell Box was born in Dallas County to Arnold and Hallie (Kirkland) Dollinger on April 16, 1934. On August 20, 1949 she married Vernon Box in Rockwall County, Texas. They were longtime residents of Quitman, Texas where she took care of the family home and Bookkeeping for the family business.  She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Quitman.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Vernon in 2003, infant son Donald Lee Box in 1951 and Daughter Vicki Cotton in 2012. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Pam Box of Quitman; Son, Larry Box of Quitman; daughter, Paula Box of Quitman; grandchildren, Shalayne and her husband Shane Holt, Kelly and her husband Rodney Kieke, Penny and her husband Brian Sator, Kirby Sator and Danielle, Tammy Box and Dana Box; great-grandchildren, Garren, Cayden, Cory, Brad, and Tealie, as well as many additional relatives and a host of friends.
