Edna Grace Benedict

Funeral services for Edna Grace Benedict, 89. Quitman are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 13, 2015 First Assembly of God Church, Quitman with Brother Ken Otwell officating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday evening June 12th at Lowe Funeral Home Quitman.

Grace was born April 12, 1926 in Port Arthur, TX to the late William Perry and Jennie Grace Bowling Edgerton and passed away June 10, 2015 in Tyler. She was a homemaker. Grace loved to bake, and make candy at Christmas. She has lived in Wood County 70 years moving from Port Arthur and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Quitman.

Grace is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen "Molly" Benedict in l971, 2 infant daughters, Margaret and Mary Ellen Benedict and a granddaughter, Misty Brister Goodson. She is survived by a son, John Benedict and wife Becky, Krum, Tx., 2 daughters, Linda Cates, Chandler, Tx. and Glenda Brister, Quitman, Tx.; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
