She was born September 13, 1919 in Ennis to Robert and Abby Bryant and died January 19, 2016 in Irving. She attended Quitman schools in 1937, married James M. Carroll in 1938, and moved to Irving 11 years later where she was a homemaker.

Edith is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 son, James A. Carroll. She is survived by 1 daughter, Mary Ritchey of Irving; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
