Dwain Preston Turner

Funeral services for Dwain Preston Turner, 81, of Mineola, are scheduled for 4:00 PM Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home with Reverend Jay Jackson officiating. Burial will be held at Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Wednesday before the service.

Dwain was born May 2, 1935 in Wood County to Lester and Novice Turner and passed away June 17, 2016 at his home. He lived all of his life in Wood County. He graduated from Quitman High School in 1952 and retired from First National Bank in Quitman after working there 36 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include wife, Tita Turner of Mineola; son, Terry Turner of Quitman; daughter, LeAnn Jackson and husband Jay of Sugar Land; four grandchildren, James Pepler, Katie Pepler, Brandon Kyle Hicks, and Cody Hicks; and a large extended family.

Serving as pallbearers are Cody Hicks, Kyle Hicks, Gary Zimmerman, Donald Ellis, Kevin Waldrip, and Terry Turner.
