Douglas Neal Hunt

Douglas Neal Hunt, 63, of Quitman, Texas returned to his heavenly home on November 19, 2021.

Douglas was born on October 12, 1958, in Dallas Texas and grew up with his foster parents Bill and Thelma (Gilbreath) Dowdy. He moved to the Quitman area and that’s where he spent his lifetime growing up. He was a member of the Rockhill Baptist Church community where he showed his avid faith for Christ. Douglas loved his family and NASCAR. In 1997, he married the love of his life Sharon (Glosup) Hunt.

He is greeted in heaven by his parents Bill and Thelma Dowdy.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Sharon Hunt; children Michael Douglas Hunt of Yantis and Daniel Adam Hunt, of Little Rock Arkansas; brothers Dennis Hunt (wife Lisa) and Gary Hunt (wife Darlene); and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
