Dorothy Ann Lloyd Britto, 91, of Quitman, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 10, 2021.
Dorothy was born on July 16, 1929 in Zabcikville, Texas to parents Joe J. Vasek and Albina C Krahulik Vasek. She was a loving sister, wife, mother and grandmother and loved to go on adventures. She was a long time resident of Dallas, Texas and was very proud of her city. Dorothy was a fun loving and caring person. She worked many years for Minneapolis Molina and Alcoa Aluminum. But the job she loved most was her work with Harold at Harold Lloyd Dental Lab. She was widowed in 1998 and several years later she met and married Jeff Britto on March 19, 2001. She and Jeff were very involved with the American Legion and Elks Club in Dallas, Texas. The loved going to concerts, movies and their Friday date nights.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Britto, of Quitman, Texas; son Harold Gleason Lloyd, Jr. “Chip”; grandsons, Zachary Lloyd and Phillip Lloyd; granddaughter, Courtney Lloyd Mears; daughter-in-law Ginger Lloyd; sister Marguerite Vanderford; and brother-in-law Wade Britto, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Vasek and Albina Krahulik Vasek; first husband, Harold G. Lloyd; brother, Jodie A. Vasek; sister-in-law, Montez Vasek; and brother-in-law, Vernon Vanderford.
Graveside services will be held at Quitman City Cemetery in Quitman, Texas at 11:00 on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Residence and Nursing Home of Quitman for all their care, support and compassion they showed to our special loved one. Dorothy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
