Dorothy Jean Jackson

Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Jackson of Quitman, Texas died peacefully on October 2, 2020 at the age of 74.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, John Jackson of Quitman TX; children, Vester Keeton (Terry) of Corsicana TX, William Allen Keeton Sr. (Gena) of Mooresville NC, and Jo McCombs (Sean) of Flower Mound; siblings, Edward Glass (Karla) of Tampa FL, Andrew “Junior” Glass (Renee) of Philadelphia MS, Shannon Glass (April) of Greenville SC and Barbara Perry (Robert) of Fort Lawn SC; grandchildren, Lacie Stanfill (Brandon) of Shreveport LA, Stephen Keeton (Gabrielle) of Hackett AR, Andy Keeton (Erika) of Arlington VA, Michael McDonald (Cayla) of Corsicana TX, William Keeton Jr. of Corsicana TX, Justin McCombs (Ellianna) of Pilot Point TX, Christian Osborn (Ronnie) of Gastonia NC, Ryan McCombs and Nathan McCombs of Flower Mound TX; 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: Father Andrew Glass, Mother Louise Glass, Sister Mary Rethford, stepsons James Anthony “Andy” Jackson, John Edward “Eddie” Jackson, niece Rachael Dunn, and Micha Glass, nephew.

Dorothy was born on January 8 in Laurel MS to Andrew and Louise Glass. She married the love of her life John Jackson in 1969 and together raised their children. She loved to travel and enjoyed exploring different areas of the world.

The family will hold a private service to celebrate her life.
