Dorothy Harper Cain

Funeral services for Dorothy Harper Cain, 90, of Quitman are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lanny Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.

Dorothy Harper Cain was born July 5, 1925 in Aubrey, TX to Thomas and Mary Harper and passed away peacefully in her home on March 6, 2016. Dorothy graduated from Kilgore High School in 1942 and married the love of her life, Henry Cain. They moved to Quitman in 1953 where Mrs. Cain worked as a legal secretary for Flynt & Pickett Law Office. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Quitman.

Mrs. Cain was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 31 ½ years, Henry F. Cain.

Survivors include four sons, Bob Cain and his wife Yvonne of Quitman, Charles Cain and his wife Nancy of Quitman, Larry Cain and his wife Tommie of Kilgore, and Scooter Cain and his wife Ann of Henderson; one brother, J.C. Harper and his wife Evelyn; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are Robert Langhoff, Cain Langhoff, Jaxon Bailey, Travis Parker, Scott Cain, Cain Brown, Cody Skipper, J.T. Skipper, Brandon Galloway, Chris Galloway, Brent Brown, and Kade Cox.
