Doris Elosie Lee

Graveside service for Doris Lee is scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Clover Hill Cemetery with Brother Earl Kernes officiating.

Doris Elosie Lee was born in East Texas January 30, 1919 to the late David T. and Bertie Lee (Green) McWhorter. She lived most of her life in Wood County and was a member at Clover Hill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, but also worked at a sewing factory in Winnsboro in her later years. She loved to sew and crochet, and also loved to read.

Doris loved her family dearly and was very proud of all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Doris passed away Sunday afternoon, September 9, 2018 in Winnsboro.

She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Bertie McWhorter; loving husband, Joseph Arthur Lee; one daughter, Joyce Dell Bradley and husband Tommy; son in law, Harold D. “Butch” Vaden; and two sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Dee Elder and husband Ron of Garland, and Barbara Jo Vaden of Quitman; 9 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
