Funeral services for Donald Gene Usery 74, Quitman are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 30, 2014, Church of Christ, Holly Lake Ranch,Texas with Bill Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Tree Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hr prior (12:00 noon) to service time. Don was born December 27, 1939 in Hugo, OK to Harris Woodrow and Elizabeth Marie Hawkins Usery and passed away July 26, 2014 in Tyler. He retired as a mail carrier for the U. S. Post Office, was a member of the Holly Lake Church of Christ and an avid sportsman.

Don is preceded in death by his father Harris Woodrow Usery and 1 son Donald James Usery. He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Usery, Quitman; wife Sue Usery, Quitman; 1 daughter Carla Usery, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Step-daughter, Elizabeth Media, Cloud Croft, New Mexico; 1 grandson Jordan Muncrieft, Las Cruces, New Mexico.
