David E. Rodgers

David E. Rodgers passed away Thursday November 12, 2020 due to complications to COVID-19.

David was born in Dallas, Texas on March 8, 1941. He graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1959. David retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1999. He was a member of the Wood County Cowboy Church in Quitman. He officiated football on the High School-College level for over 30 years.

David is preceded in death by his parents James and Beatirce Rodgers and two brothers at a young age.

David is survived by his wife Linda; son Joel Rodgers; daughter Jennifer Mills; Grandson Carson Powers; and one brother Jim Rodgers.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.  

The family has requested that there be no flowers sent at this time but Donations can be made to honor David in his name at Wood County Cowboy Church 3435 FM 2088 Quitman, TX 75783.
