David Middlebrooks

Memorial services celebrating the life and memory of Walter David Middlebrooks are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 13, 2014, First United Methodist Church Quitman with Dr. Dick White officating.
David was born February 12, 1947 in Shreveport, LA to Walter Graham and Gennesart Amalong Middlebrooks. David was a Systems Engineer for IBM and retired after 25 years. He move to the Yantis area from Flower Mound 12 years ago and was a member of and Administrative Assistant for the First United Methodist Church, Quitman. David was also a 20 year resident of Colleyville, a graduate of LSU-Monroe and was raised in Shreveport, LA.
David is preceded in death by a brother Sam Jay Middlebrooks. He is survived by his parents, Dude and Genny, of Shreveport, LA; his wife, Sheryl Middlebrooks of Yantis; 2 sons, David Reid Middlebrooks and wife Carrie of Houston and Paul Garner Middlebrooks and wife Catherine of Nashville, TN. David was also the proud grandfather of three granddaughters: Ella Kate Middlebrooks, Lauren Jay Middlebrooks and Nora Marie Middlebrooks. He loved his extended family: sister-in-law Rebecca G. Holland and Susan G. Holland, their spouses and children, and his mother-in-law Opal Stroud Garner. He will be remembered with great love. God is our light and salvation.
