Dan Richard Sharp, 80, passed away on July 2, 2026, in Whitehouse, Texas.

Dan was born on July 7, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, to Charles F Sharp and Mary Jane Williams Sharp. He lived in Wood County for approximately 30 years. He made his living with a successful organic  farm and a tire business. Known for his mechanical ability, Dan was a natural at small engine repair and enjoyed working on cars. Above all, however, his greatest passion was fishing, a pastime that brought him countless hours of enjoyment.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles F Sharp and Mary Jane Williams Sharp; his sister Rebecca Sharp Hamilton; and his brother, Terry David Sharp.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Laura Sharp McBroom and husband Mark, of Mineola; sister, Nancy Sharp McCasland; his grandchildren, Jennifer Anthony, Savannah McBroom, and Ty McBroom; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Dan's life which will be held at the place he loved best: 11:00AM - 3:00PM, on July 25, 2026 at 1550 County Road 3265 (grey house), Mineola, Texas 75773.
