Clifford Lee Ogg, 70, of Quitman, Texas, passed away on November 29, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. He was born December 29, 1954, in Lexington, Nebraska, to Bert Eugene Ogg and Lee Anna (Smith) Ogg.

After graduating high school, Clifford enlisted in the United States Navy, serving his country proudly during the Vietnam era. Following his honorable discharge, he attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney before beginning a long career as an electrician. He worked in Lexington and Imperial, Nebraska, and later at Pro-Tech in Quitman until the company’s closure. Clifford moved to Quitman eleven years ago, making East Texas home while staying true to his Nebraska roots.

Though he didn’t have a formal church home, Clifford was a Christian and enjoyed attending First Baptist Church with his son’s family. Some of his favorite moments were spent fishing, being with family, and watching his grandchildren play sports—where he was always their biggest fan. They lovingly knew him as “Grandpa.” He was also an enthusiastic supporter of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and rarely missed a chance to cheer them on.

Clifford’s legacy lives on in the family he loved and the many memories shared across states, seasons, and stadiums.

Clifford is preceded in death by his parents, Bert Eugene Ogg and Lee Anna (Smith) Ogg.

Left to cherish his memory are his five children: Heather Haynes and husband Steven of Utah; Tony Ogg and wife Aimee of Kansas; Angie Ogg Smith and husband Chris of Kansas; Rylee Shaw and husband Jeremy of Nebraska; and Elton Ogg and wife Toni of Quitman. He also leaves behind a brother, Wayne Ogg of Nebraska. Additionally, his memory will continue in the hearts of his 18 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several extended family members and friends.

Memorial service for Clifford will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Quitman.
