It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Claudie Pinion, a beloved husband, skilled craftsman, and cherished member of the Quitman community. Claudie departed from this world on August 20, 2023, at the age of 89.
Born on March 30, 1934, in Grayson County, Texas, Claudie was the son of Claudie and Maggie Pinion. Raised alongside his three sisters, Marie Boggs, Frankie Friday, and Joyce Henry, Claudie's upbringing taught him values of hard work, devotion, and respect for family.
Claudie's passion for woodworking was evident throughout his life. He possessed
precision. His workshop was his sanctuary, where he spent countless hours bringing his artistic visions to life. It was a testament to his unwavering dedication and talent.
He dedicated many years of his career to Kimberly Clark Aircraft (KC Aviation) at Love Field. His commitment and exceptional work ethic made him a valued member of the team, leaving an indelible mark on the company and those he worked with.
Claudie had a wanderer's heart and found solace in exploring new places. Among his favorite destinations was Mackinac Island. These journeys enriched his life with lasting memories and a deep appreciation for the world around him.
In 1953, Claudie exchanged vows with his loving wife, Marianna Pinion, in Dallas, Texas, embarking on a journey of love and companionship that spanned an incredible 69 years. Their enduring bond served as a beautiful example of commitment, unity, and unwavering support.
He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Connie Pinion Hunt, and his beloved son, Perry Pinion. He is also preceded by his parents, Claudie and Maggie Pinion, and his three sisters, Marie Boggs, Frankie Friday, and Joyce Henry.
He is survived by his wife, Marianna Pinion of Quitman; three sisters-in-law, Audrey Rayes, Margaret Smith, and Glenda Newberry and her husband, Rod; his cousin, Howard Pinion; along with numerous extended family members and friends.
As we pay our last respects, we invite you to join us in honoring Claudie and celebrating his remarkable life. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations with Chaplain Tom Jones officiating.
