Charles Albert Wesbrooks, 83, of Quitman, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on August 21, 2026. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on May 12, 1943, to Mark Wesbrooks and Grace Barrett Wesbrooks.

Charles graduated from Wichita Falls High School before attending Midwestern University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. He continued his education at North Texas State University, earning his Master’s Degree in Chemistry and Biology. Throughout his career, Charles was dedicated to helping others. He became a Licensed Professional Counselor and devoted many years to serving students and families through the Mesquite Independent School District, where he remained until his retirement.

After retiring, Charles and his beloved wife, Delores Ann, made their home in Quitman, Texas, where they had lived for the past 25 years. The couple was married on August 1, 1970, and shared more than 56 years of marriage. Their life together was built on companionship, devotion, and a lasting partnership.

Charles will be remembered not only for his professional commitment to education and counseling, but also for his quiet strength and kindness. He touched many lives throughout his career and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Grace Wesbrooks; and his brothers, Perry Wesbrooks of Wichita Falls, Bob Wesbrooks of Wichita Falls, and Jim Wesbrooks of Midlothian.

Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife, Delores Ann Wesbrooks, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
