Carolyn Virginia (Hayes) Morrow, 83, of Winnsboro, passed away on June 19, 2026, in Quitman.

Carolyn was born on October 15, 1942, in Winnsboro, Texas, to John Thomas Hayes and Gladys Fay (Hamrick) Hayes. She married J. Fred Morrow on July 2, 1961, at Sharon Baptist Church.

A devoted pastor’s wife for 64 years, Carolyn faithfully served alongside her husband. She taught Sunday school, attended many youth trips, and dedicated much of her life to serving her church. She worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse until her retirement in 1996.

Carolyn was a caring and loving Nana who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Branson and Beavers Bend.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas and Gladys Fay Hayes; and her son, David Mark Morrow.

She is survived by her husband, J. Fred Morrow; children, Mike Morrow and wife Katrina of Winnsboro, Lisa Webber and husband Shane of Quitman, and James McRight and wife Julie of Carthage; grandchildren, Ashton Morrow Webber, Micah Morrow and wife Allison, Macawley Morrow and wife Ali, Makinna Hernandez and husband Wrangler, Taylor Lee and husband Brant, Madison Webber, and Ian and Ava Grace McRight; and great-grandchildren, Rylan James Styron, Hadley and Emersyn Jetton, Lilly Rose Morrow, Monte Earl Morrow, Tres Dale Morrow, Wrangler Wilder Hernandez, David Quill Hernandez, Shane Webber Lee, Brooke Lee, and Brighton Lee.

Visitation will be held from 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Quitman. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m., with interment to follow at Morrow Family Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Micah Morrow, Macawley Morrow, Wrangler Hernandez, Shane Webber, Ian McRight, Rylan Styron, and Mark Goss.
