IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carmen Renee
Singletary
September 27, 1976 – March 12, 2026
Celebration of Life
Carmen Renne Chrietzberg Singletary was born to Cary and Elaine Chrietzberg on September 27, 1976, exactly 11 minutes after her sister Caryn. What a surprise twins were! The nurse came out of the delivery room, handed Caryn to her dad, and told him she was going back in for the next one. Cary always said it was all he could do to hold the baby and not slide down the wall. When the doctor stuck his head out the delivery room door and jokingly asked what they wanted to do with the third one, Cary’s response was “put it back!”
The most important thing Carmen did for her life and future was when she accepted Jesus as her Savior in 1984 and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church in April 1984.
Carmen passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 12, 2026.
She is survived by her two sons that she loved so much, Joe Frank Singletary of Lindale, TX, and Jayce Earl Conrad Davis of Mineola, TX. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Mildred Nichols of Mineola, TX; her parents, Cary and Elaine Chrietzberg of Mineola, TX; twin sister, Caryn Chrietzberg of Mineola, TX, who she talked with each night; and her brother, Corey Chrietzberg and partner Carla Briley of Reilly Springs, TX; niece, Jordyn Mahoney; nephews, Michael Mahoney and Brenden Chrietzberg and his family; aunts, uncles, and many friends.
Carmen always loved her boys and her family. She struggled for many years with drug addiction and was estranged from her family. Ultimately, her love for her boys, her family, and her desire to be reunited with her family was the catalyst for her to overcome her addiction. She was very proud of her 13+ years of sobriety, and her family was very proud of her as well.
Carmen had a beautiful singing voice and didn’t just listen to music, she harmonized with the singer. She especially loved old Bluegrass music, and the Stanley Brothers were her favorite. She harmonized with them beautifully on her favorite song, Angel Band.
Our hearts are broken, but we are comforted with the Lord’s promise found in Romans 8:23. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on April 18, 2026 at Spur On Ministries with Pastor Mike Fletcher officiating.
Donations in memory of Carmen may be made to a charity of choice or the Gideons International.
