Brion Martin Gill

Brion Martin Gill, a beloved husband, father, and Gpa, passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on June 7, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, to Thomas and Margaret Gill, Brion brought light and joy into the lives of all those who knew him.

Brion was born and spent most of his youth in the North East before his family settled in Round Rock, Texas, when he was in high school.  Brion raised his own family in Central Texas until relocating to East Texas five years ago, embracing the small-town life. He was an active member of Bethel Bible Church in Whitehouse, Texas, where his passion for music and worship shone brightly. Brion's guitar skills were admired by many as he played in the church's worship band. He also enjoyed simply hanging out and playing guitar and banjo with his brothers.

On December 14, 1982, Brion joined in eternal love and companionship with Diana Marie (Groeneveld) Gill. They married in Round Rock, Texas, in the comfort of Diana’s mother’s home. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Brion was a dedicated husband, a pillar of support, and an unwavering source of strength for Diana.

Brion was known for his zest for life and his adventurous spirit. Whether it was playing soccer, riding his motorcycle, or strumming his guitar, he approached each pursuit with enthusiasm and a deep love for the experiences it brought. Brion's passion for classic rock was infectious, and his musical talent resonated with all who had the pleasure of listening.

Family was at the core of Brion's heart, and his role as a loving father and adoring grandfather filled him with immense joy. He was an incredible grandfather, or, as his grandkids affectionately called him, "Gpa." Brion embraced every opportunity to play with and spoil his grandchildren, creating unforgettable memories that will forever be treasured.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret (O’Neill) Gill.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 41 years, Diana Marie Gill of Mineola; father and stepmother, Thomas and Dorothy Gill of Casa Grande, Arizona; three children, Clinton Gill and wife Hannah of Wylie, TX, Brittany McMahon and husband Adam of Mineola, TX, and Brandi Dominguez and husband Gabriel of Georgetown, TX; four siblings, David Gill and wife Mary of Loveland, Colorado, Craig Gill and wife Cassandra of Rockdale, TX, Burke Gill and wife Sherrie of Casa Grande, AZ, and Margot Gill of Westlake, TX; seven grandchildren, Colton, Kendall, Mahayla, Riley, Weston, Maria, and Tucker; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Brion's presence will be deeply missed by his family and the countless lives he touched with his kindness, warmth, and infectious laughter.

Memorial services celebrating Brion’s life and legacy will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Bethel Bible Church in Whitehouse, Texas.
