Funeral services for "Estelle" Morgan are scheduled for 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, April 14, 2015, Smyrna Baptist.

Estelle Morgan, 93, born in Winnsboro, Tx March 17, 1922 and went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2015 peacefully at 4:44 a.m. at Home Place Hospice. Estelle is preceded by husband Louie, brother Andrew "Jack" Payne, sister Grace Jordon, and infant sister Peggy. Survived by children Mary (Paul) Jones, Jerry, Curtis (Ginger) Voorheese, Ricky (Janey) Koon. 11 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren, and 37 Great-Great-grandchildren. She lived her life in and around Winnsboro and Sulphur Springs, Texas. She raised her family on a dairy farm where they never wanted for anything. She worked at Sulphur Springs Nursing Home for 10 years as the activities director and live the remainder of her life as a homemaker. Her love of quilting started early and continued throughout her entire life by being a member in the Cartwright Quilting Club, WMA- Women's Missionary Association, and the VFW Auxiliary of Sulphur Springs. She taught Sunday School for several years and was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church since 2000. The last couple of years have been spent around the house and volunteering at church. On Friday, April 4th, Estelle fell in her home and never woke up after surgery to repair the hip she broke. She passed peacefully, surrounded by all of her children. Visitation will be Monday, April 13, 6-8pm at Lowe Funeral Home in Quitman, Tx , Funeral Services will be held at Smyrna Baptist Church CR4420 Winnsboro, TX, followed by a private family graveside service.
