Funeral services for Billy Frank Gilbreath, 85, of Yantis, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home with Pastor John Pollard officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 â 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Billy Frank Gilbreath was born in Wood County to Delta and Velma Lois (Cooksey) Gilbreath on June 20, 1931. He lived most of his life in Wood County, where he was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church. Billy was a US Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He worked for Gilbreath Construction and worked on a dairy for many years.
Billy passed away Sunday evening, October 23, 2016 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Gilbreath in 2013; and both parents, Delta and Velma Lois Gilbreath.
Survivors include his son, Greg Gilbreath and wife Becky of Yantis; daughter, Vicki Clanton of Quitman; brother, Boyd Gilbreath of Yantis; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Todd Gilbreath, Cody Gilbreath, Dustin Clanton, Steven Ingram, Glenn Gilbreath, and Keith Farmer will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are Justin Clanton, Carter Ingram, Caine Ingram, Toby Gilbreath, Legend Gilbreath, Cash Gilbreath, and Coy Gilbreath.
