Billie Claire Cathey

Funeral services for Billie Claire Cathey, 82, Quitman are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 1, 2015, Church of Christ, Quitman with Ben Cathey, Lanier Stevens and Dell Ussery officiating. Burial will follow in Quitman City Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday evening, August 31st, Lowe Funeral Home, Quitman.

Billie was born August 2, 1933 in Houston, TX to A.W. and Daisy Lamont Striebeck and passed away in Tyler August 30, 2015. Billie was an Elementery School teacher, a member of the Church of Christ, Quitman and a past member of the Quest Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Cathey in 1991 and 3 sisters.

Billie is survived by 2 sons, Dr. George Cathey and wife Pam, and David Cathey and wife Rhonda, both of Quitman; 1 Daughter, Mary Gail Milner and David Adams, Quitman; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
