Funeral services for Benjamin Leroy Hinds are scheduled for 2:00 P.M.
Sunday, October 5, 2014, St. Peters Catholic Church, Mineola with Father Bowlin officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Mineola. Family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 with Offer of the Liturgy of the hours (Vespers) at 7:00 P.M., Lowe Funeral Home, Quitman.

Ben was born November 3, 1920 in Shiro, TX to the late Benjamin Oscar and Minnie Ola Minzs Hinds. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Mineola, a wiremaker and raised miniture horses. He is preceded in death by his wife Rose Marie Greco Hinds. He is survived by 3 sons, Benjamin L. Hinds, Jr and wife Kay, Quitman; Charles P. Hinds and wife Laurie, Quitman and Johnny Russell Hinds and wife Monica, League City; 1 daughter, Mariola Smith and husband Lee, Quitman; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, numerous exended grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Those serving as pallbearers are, Steve Cowart, Gerald Broom, Dennis Conn, Don King, Jeremy Osbourn, Pat Boudreaux and Toby Jake Gilbreath.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund (Floor) in Memory of Ben Hinds, St. Peters Catholic Church, 203 Meadowbrook, Mineola, TX 75773
