Bartolo Román, de 58 años, de Quitman, Texas, falleció en su hogar el 6 de julio de 2025. Nació el 24 de agosto de 1966 en México, hijo de los señores Eliseo y Rosa Román.
Bartolo se estableció en Quitman en 1982 y contrajo matrimonio con el amor de su vida, Gloria, el 18 de julio de 1997. Dedicó muchos años de su vida laboral a la industria petrolera, desempeñándose con orgullo y compromiso en su labor.
Fue miembro devote de la Iglesia Católica de San Pedro Apóstol en Mineola. Entre sus pasatiempos favoritos se encontraban la cacería, el billar y el béisbol. Sentía una verdadera pasión por la mecánica automotriz y tenía el talento de desarmar y ensamblar vehículos con facilidad. También era un entusiasta de las motocicletas.
Le precedieron en la muerte su padre, Eliseo Román; su hermano, Jorge Román; y su sobrino, Fabián Román.
Le sobreviven su esposa, Gloria Román; su madre, Rosa Román; sus tres hijos, Melissa Román, Lorena Williams y Oscar Román; así como ocho hermanos: María Montez, Elisa Román, Elías Román, Ricardo Román, Meriam Román, Francisco Román, Obdulia Delgadillo y Rosalá Román; además de numerosos sobrinos, sobrinas y demás familiares.
La velacion familiar, que incluirá a hermanos y familiares, se llevará a cabo el martes 8 de julio de 2025 de 5:00 p.m. a 6:00 p.m. El Santo Rosario se rezará a las 6:00 p.m. en Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations, seguido por la velacion público hasta las 9:00 p.m.
La misa de cuerpo presente se celebrará el miércoles 9 de julio de 2025 a la 1:00 p.m. en la Iglesia Católica San Pedro Apóstol de Mineola. El sepelio tendrá lugar posteriormente en el Cementerio de Quitman.
Bartolo Roman, 58, of Quitman, Texas, passed away at his home on July 6, 2025. He was born on August 24, 1966, in Mexico to Eliseo and Rosa Roman.
Bartolo moved to Quitman in 1982 and married the love of his life, Gloria, on July 18, 1997. He worked in the oil field for many years and took great pride in his work.
He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Mineola. Bartolo enjoyed hunting, playing pool and baseball, and had a true passion for car mechanics—he could take a car apart and put it back together with ease. He also had a deep love for motorcycles.
He is preceded in death by his father, Eliseo Roman; brother, Jorge Roman; and nephew, Fabian Roman.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Roman; mother, Rosa Roman; three children, Melissa Roman, Lorena Williams, and Oscar Roman; eight siblings, Maria Montez, Elisa Roman, Elias Roman, Ricardo Roman, Meriam Roman, Francisco Roman, Obdulia Delgadillo, and Rosala Roman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A family visitation, including siblings and extended family members, will be held from 5:00PM to 6:00PM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM, with public visitation following until 9:00 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Mineola. Committal will follow at Quitman Cemetery.
