Barbara Ann Hollinquest

Barbara Ann Hollinquest, 74, beloved Wife, Mother,

Grandmother, and Sister, was called to her eternal resting

place on December 12, 2019. She entered this world on

November 4, 1945 in New London, Connecticut, born to

Calvin and Doris (Tate) Dayton. She married Joe

Hollinquest on June 1, 1968 in Hebron, Connecticut.

Barbara and Joe moved their family to Quitman in 1979,

after Joe's retirement from the Navy. Barbara made her

church home at the Little Hope Baptist Church.

  Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, sisters

Sandra Dayton and Kathleen Silman; brother William

Dayton; and her beloved husband Joe died in November

of 2008.

 Surviving family includes her father, Calvin Dayton of

Connecticut; son, Joe Hollinquest Jr. and his wife Tiffany

of Emory, Texas; daughter Jody Ottinger and her husband

Jimmy Bryan of Talco, Texas; brother, Calvin Hollinquest,

Jr. of Newton, Conneticut: sisters, Doris Compton of West

Virginia, and Betsy Ritter of New Orleans, Louisiana;

grandchildren, Sierra Danielle Hollinquest, Hannah Marie

Hollinquest, Annabelle Grace Hollinquest, Kari Irene

Ottinger and Sam Ottinger as well as many other friends

and relatives.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday,

December 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Clover Hill

Cemetery, in Quitman with Brother James Young

officiating.
