Jean was born July 25, 1926 in Van, TX to Horrace and Edith Kirk Williams. She passed away March 20, 2013 in Tyler. She moved to Quitman 1978 from Ardmore, OK and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Quitman.

Jean is preceded by her husband, Kenneth Laverents in 2006 and 1 Son, Drew Lavenents, 2012. She is survived by 3 Sons; Mark Laverents, Oklahoma City, OK., Todd Laverents, Vilseck, Germany, Kyle Laverents, Houston, TX., 2 Daughters; Vicki Bennett, Flint, TX and Kenna Barrentine, Canton, TX., 13 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives.
