Andrew Eugene Kovacs

Celebration of life service for Andrew Kovacs, 81, of Quitman, is scheduled for 4:00 PM Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Spur On Ministries with Brother Mike Fletcher officiating.

Andrew Eugene Kovacs was born May 23, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York to Andrew and Magdalene Berg Kovacs. He retired from IBM after 30 years of working as a draftsman, and also worked for Boeing Aircraft in Everett, Washington for one year. He also worked for NAOA and with Kitt Peak Observatory and taught C.A.D. classes at Pima Community College. In August 2015 he moved from Vancouver, Washington to Quitman and attended Spur On Cowboy Church.

Mr. Kovacs passed away peacefully at his home on April 21, 2018.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Ellen Teresa Kovacs.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Quitman; son, Andrew Gordon Kovacs of Vancouver, WA; two daughters, Karen Beth Hallonquist of Quitman and Anne Margaret Trimble of Ashland, Oregon; sister, Edith Carroll of Ft. Myers, Florida; and five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
