LaVerna Chenault

LaVerna Chenault, 86, of Mineola, Texas returned to her eternal home on Monday, May 31, 2021. Funeral Services will be under the direction of Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations and will take place on Friday, June 4, 2021, at the funeral homes chapel at 1:00PM. LaVerna was born on July 6, 1934, to parents Leonard and Ellen (Swanson) Johnson in McPherson, Kansas. She loved to paint and collect dolls. LaVerna married her forever love Robert on June 18, 1954. They spent many years traveling around and growing their family. They were able to see the world together. They settled down and spent the last 25 years in Mineola, Texas. LaVerna is preceded by her husband Robert Chenault; parents Leonard and Ellen Johnson; two brothers; sister; daughter; and grandson. She is survived by her children Ronda Phillips (husband James), James Chenault ( wife Lala); twin sister LaVonn Higgs; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many other loved ones and friends.
